How to change Polaris hose swivel

One of the hose swivels on my Polaris 280 has a bad leak and I'd like to replace it. I have the replacement parts, but wanted to see what the best way to do this is. Should I just cut the hose where the existing swivel is to get it off or do I need to pull the hose off? I tried this initially but it didn't seem to budge. Thanks

Did you loosen the hose nut first, if so put the hose in some hot water to soften up. If you cut the hose you still need to get the hose nuts off
