How to / Can you: move a sand filter with the sand still in it? Hayward S200

I'm redesigning the pool pump layout. Had 1" between the 90 degrees angles of the skimmer, bottom drain Jandy valve and will be upgrading to a one to two foot straight. But I'm wondering if I'll need to empty all of the sand from the sand filter in order to move it to a new location. If I disconnect the S200 and let the water drain for a couple hours, is it manageable to move? Or will I need to take the step of emptying all the sand, and reloading with sand, in order to move it a couple feet?

Of course, any suggestions of how to move it will be appreciated. It's currently on a cement slab, and would be move to an adjacent 2' square stone paver. Do I use furniture sliders?

It depends. How big a boy are ya'?

Shouldn't hurt the filter. Your back is a different story.

Definitely, the back is most vulnerable.
I'm guessing that the big round "egg" just sits on the base.

Maybe 2 people can lift by the midsection, a third moves the base, waddle to new location and set down.
Furniture moving straps is another idea, not sure how they'd stay "under" the egg.

Was hoping someone has done this before and has as easy solution ;-)
