Learning more about my pool every day this month. I'm currently in the middle of a SLAM. However, going on vacation next week. As I read more on TFP I realize the TFP method requires daily addition of Chlorine. I travel a lot and need something more automated or at least remotely operable. Is there any way for me to add liquid chlorine remotely? What are my adding chlorine remotely options? Is investing in a SWG the only route or is there something that can inject liquid chlorine from my phone?

At this short notice a SWG is probably your only bet. You install the device (pretty easy) add salt, wait a day to dissolve and mix up, set your pump timer and the cell up for action and leave town. That you're in the middle of a SLAM process, you could run the pump 24/7 with the % time on the SWG high (up to 100 %) and deal with it when you return.

Sorry for the confusion. Ignore my mention of the current SLAM and pending vacation. My question was more for long term. I am willing to make the investment now to save me later and also allow my family to use my pool safely while I'm away. What options do I have?

Go with a SWG for sure. Your only other option is some kind of stenner pump with chlorine, but even then, you still have to fill the pump with the chlorine every so often, which means a trip to the store lugging multiple cases of liquid chlorine. It's not nearly as automated as a SWG. Once you get it running and figure out what your pool uses daily in chlorine, you adjust the output setting or your pump run time and that's it. Then, just check your chemicals (FC, pH) a couple of times a week and make any adjustments. Pretty simple and really great if you'll be gone from the house for any length of time.

Just remember to get a SWG that's rated at least double the size of your pool. So, maybe you go for the Circupool RJ 30+ or for only $100 more, you can upsize to the RJ 45+. If you have a single speed pump, you'll have to run the SWG at a higher setting for shorter hours to save on your pump electricity bill. If it's a variable speed pump, like mine, you can run your SWG at a very low output and run the pump longer or even 24/7 like I do.
