how should air jet valve be positioned on intex pool. Mine is sideways and I have been using cap. Any suggestions as nowhere in instructions addresses this.

I don't think it matters much as long as it doesn't leak when the pump is off. If it's capped, it's not doing anything anyway.
Just remember that aeration will cause pH to rise, so if you do use the air jet, keep an eye on your pH.
I had to learn the hard way... The valve should be straight up... It could stop the salt water system from working...
How so? Mine is kind of diagonal and my SWCG works fine. I'm having a hard time understanding how the position of the air jet valve would interfere with the SWCG.
