How often to vacuum?

My pool is inside a screened lanai so there is little to no debris getting in (other than pollen during season). I have been vacuuming and cleaning skimmer (which also has a sock) on a weekly basis. I feel like I am wasting my time vacuuming so often. Is there a reason that I am not aware of or is it ok to vacuum only when I see debris in the pool. Thanks for your input.

If you don't see a clean trail behind the vacuum because your pool floor is relatively clean, that's great. You can probably afford to space-out your vacuum intervals. However, be sure to brush frequently since brushing helps to disturb organics we don't necessarily see with our eyes that may trying to cling to the pool's surface.
