How long will tablets last in chlorinator?

I just added an in-line chlorinator for use when travelling. I decided to test it out to learn the appropriate setting for keeping my FC where I want it. I've run it for a week and discovered what the appropriate setting should be. Now I've turned it off and gone back to manually adding bleach. Foolishly, I filled the thing to the top with tabs. Anybody know how long they'll last sitting in the chlorinator? I'll be on an extended vacation end of this month. Think I can leave them in there and just turn it on when I leave, or will the water in the chlorinator be too concentrated - or the tablets ineffective by that point?

If I need to remove them, any guidance on how to dispose of them?

Appreciate your help!

You can leave them be. I suspect a little bit will dissolve over that time, so check before you leave. Be ready for the chlorine gas hit when you open it.

A floater would have been cheaper and easier.

Thanks! I'd done a floater in the past but it bothered me that I didn't know if it was actually adding enough chlorine and storage between uses was an issue for it as well. I can be a bit of a control freak. :\ Usually, that makes me a good pool chemical maintainer! :)
