How long to wait until adjusting pH to add chlorine?

I had to get my pH down by adding 1+ gallon of muriatic acid into the pool according to my Taylor Acid Demand test (13 drops, pool is 14,500 Gallons)....I did it in increments, with half a gallon added tonight at the deepest end of the pool with the pump running and half a gallon yesterday. I got a question - how long must I wait to add chlorine?

I'm not new to chemistry so I'm guessing a while otherwise the acid would just neutralize the liquid chlorine?

15 minutes with the pump running is fine. The acid won’t neutralize the liquid chlorine but if they’re added too close to each other they can mix and make a poisonous gas. Just be sure to let it disperse through the pool before adding the other and it’s fine.
