Forgive me TFP, for I have sinned...I bought some chlorine tablets for my pool. 
Really though: I needed some liquid bleach, my local Wal-Mart has been out of their Great Value Cleaning Bleach the past few times I've visited, they don't have the Pool Essentials Chlorinating Liquid in-stock...and that's about the only place local to me where I can get liquid bleach. My CYA is a little low anyway (30ppm, I prefer it to be around 40ppm) so I figured I'd go ahead and grab some 3" chlorine tablets and a floating thing to put them in and kill two birds with one stone.
I put (3) 3-inch chlorine tablets in the pool and dumped it in almost a week ago, and I swear they've only dissolved by maybe 1/3rd, if that. Is that normal? My pump only runs about 6-hours/night, not sure if that matters.
