how critical is the amount of R-0870 DPD powder to the FC test?

So I use the Taylor K2006C, and I usually do the 10 ml. sample. The instructions state "add 2 dippers R-0870". The actual dipper itself seems kinda arbitrary to get the correct amount. How much would too much or too little of DPD powder affect the test?

Not critical. For 10ml, 1 scoop should be plenty.
You can't add too much powder (within reason), but too little can make the end point hard to discern.

Great - good to know. So I guess a little bit much is better than too little. Maybe one overflowing dipper would do it instead of trying to get 2 dippers exactly at the top.
