Hello from Florida,
I have a 350 gal hot tub with a UV sanitizer. I am using bromine as recommended, however I am struggling with water balance. It's been a year of up and down.
Have soooo many questions! I did learn from a post where my phosphates are coming from, my scented shock😮‍💨. Looking g forward to conquering water balance!!

We aren’t too concerned here about phosphates if adequate sanitation is maintained unless they are exceedingly high which is kinda moot in a small body of water that should get frequently replaced on a 3-6 month or so basis.
If you have never purged your tub it is a good idea to do so right before your next drain/refill to rid it of biofilms that can accumulate with even the best sanitation practices.
We recommend doing this at each drain/refill. Ahhsome is the overwhelming favorite around here.
Here’s the guide for bromine tubs
👇
Following the methods recommended will require that you can accurately test your water so the the Taylor k2106 if exclusively sticking with bromine or Taylor k2006 or tf100 which can do either chlorine or bromine testing

Oftentimes with a small spa when things go awry it is much simpler to just start fresh rather than fight with it.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have 😊

I am wondering what filter individuals are using with there hot tub and how much they affect chemical levels.
