Hot tub heater delay on Easytouch switches to pool for cool down period

This summer I upgraded from Compool to Easytouch automation. Previously with my Compool when I wanted to shut off the pump and sit in a quiet still pool of hot water I'd turn off the hot tub and it would run in hot tub mode for a few minutes with the heater off to cool the heater then shut off. Now with the Easytouch it switches to the automated valves to pool mode during the cool down period, the problem is that I have a Caretaker 99 pop up system and occasionally it will rotate to the spa's pop ups and pump cold pool water into the spa and bring the temperature down ruining the quite warm soak. Any advice on what settings to change?

fdd,

When you turn off the Spa mode, it will automatically revert to the Pool mode, which of course moves the valves.

Seems to me you just want to shut off the pump...

What are you using to "turn off the hot tub"?

What pump do you have?

Do you have ScreenLogic?

Thanks,

Looks like I need to update my signature line with my new equipment. I upgraded to the Intellipro pump and I have Screenlogic2 wireless interface. I'm using my phone app to turn off the hot tub. I understand turning off the spa cycles the valves back to pool but unless I am mistaken the CP3400 would leave the valves in spa mode during the heater cool down then the pump would stop and the valves would cycle back to pool.

fdd,

Is your "Shut pump off to turn valve" check box in ScreenLogic checked???

I have no heater so no way for me to tell, but this is how I suspect it works... Without the box checked the valve moves as soon as you turn off the Spa. With the box checked, when you turn off the Spa the ET wants to move the valves, but needs to shut off the pump first.. But it can't shut off the pump until the cool down period is over.

Would also have to have ScreenLogic checked for "Heater Cool Down" on..

Give it a try and report back what you find as it might help others if it works.

Thanks,

Jim R.
