I've looked over the different cheaply made pool toy bins. They're all a flinsy plastic pipe. I'm opting to purchase PVC pipe and fittings to make my own.

Stupid question. I want to bind the joints together without permanently bonding (take apart end of season). But I also want the pieces to stay firmly connected. Will hot glue work? Other suggestions?

If you push forcefully dry-fit the PVC into the fittings, it will likely hold without glue.
It's much more likely to not come apart at end of season, than to fall apart during.

Have you considered a proper deck box? I think I spent $200 and have a large deck box made of high quality plastic that has gone a number of years without issue.

Wife doesn't like using our deck boxes since water accumulates in bottom. Looking for a "hang and dry" solution.

Already have 2 deck boxes large enough for noodles, grandsons life jacket, small inflatables, etc but discussion is for an open air type storage.

I think you meant dripping from wet pool floats, etc. accumulates in the bottom, correct?

Have you ever pushed PVC into a fitting to check fit and couldn’t get them apart again? I have! I think just installing without any adhesive is fine, as long as it stationary.

Yes... Talking about drippings. Have separate storage for dry items. And hoping to use one for more dry storage after configure the PVC rack.

I've built few other things with PVC and yes, fairly tight. But out in sun, they loosen. Just looking at ideas for little extra binding without permanently sealing them together.

Duct tape any loose joints.

You can use small screws to hold the joints together. Pre-drill the holes.

And use stainless steel screws. One hole in the bottom or inside of each joint.
