Hole in Gunite

jm,

Almost all the gunite pools I have seen being built had a hole or two in the bottom, just to make sure the shell did not float. Filling with plaster is a pretty standard way to do it...

There will be plenty of things to worry about, but that is not one of them...

Thanks,

Jim R.

That should be patched with hydraulic cement. The hole looks too deep to fill with plaster. Plaster should not be more then 3 inches maximum.

The plaster crew can probably fill it.

jm,

So that is not the typical hole I see in the bottom of pools.. That hole is because they screwed up and had to move the plumbing..

I agree with Allen, the plaster crew will probably fill it with Hydraulic Cement and then plaster over that..

Thanks,

Jim R.
