Hockey Season is upon us

Hawks - Habs would be great with Hawks going up 3-1, Habs tying then Hawks winning game 7 in triple OT!!!

I had same thought but the other way around...only Marian Hossa breaks the tie and the curse...and becomes a hero in Chicago in the likes of Michael Jeffery Jordan or Walter Sweetness Payton...HOSSA HOISTS THE CUP!!!

Wait...wake up time...huh? A Hockey Fan can dream can't he?

You have to have Toewes or Kane have the winner! Face of the franchise type of thing.

Found myself pulling for the Habs. Good for them.

While Montreal - Chicago would be dream for NBC coverage, I'd not be disappointed by a San Jose - Boston final either. Joe Thorton and the rest taking on the Bruins would be slightly edgy, IMO. I'd pick the Sharks in that series.

yeah but hossa gets so much garbage about the "curse" and what not...It would be poetic justice to have him get it...It would be electric if Kanes or Toewes got it.

My sister back in Chicago had to take her car in to the body shop (lopped off her side mirror entering the garage). The guy who worked on her car is an uncle to Brett Lebda of the Redwings (born and raised in northern Illinois)! Uncle was wearing a Blackhawks hat and my sister was wearing her 2006 Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Champion hat. They both got to talking about hockey and it appears Brett's agent has been talking with the KHL in Russia, as they are interested in him coming over to play for them. Which is sweet, no taxes over there.

Hudler went to arbritration last year and was awarded $2.5MM. He went to Russia instead for $5MM. Must not like it though, because news broke that he wanted to come back to Detroit.

Back on task.

I thought Chicago was outplayed in game 1, but they walked away with the win.

Philly looked sick against the Habs. Have to think Halak will bounce back though.

Total domination by the Hawks. The Finnish Fortress has turned into a clutch goalie at just the right time. I didn't expect a sweep, that's for sure. Thornton, again, was unnoticeable in this series. Well, except for the blatant slash.

Now the Habs need to rally. Halak must stand on his head. They need to figure out the Flyers defense. I really don't want Pronger (er, Mr. Elbows) to get into another cup finals.

The games were much closer than the sweep reflected. There were basically three 1 goal differences. For next year I propose Bertuzzi goes to the Hawks and Eager goes to the Wings!

Actually hope Philly wins tonight so we can get to the finals, get it over with, and get into the pool!!

I cringed on that puck to the mouth shot!

I am looking forward to the Bufgylin?-Pronger matchup in front of Leighton.

Byfuglien will have his work cut out for him...Pronger is no patsy...He is tough and Buf will have to expect his biggest test yet...I expect Buf to try to get under Pronger's skin and get him to take some stupid penalties...like he did with the Sundienes in Vancouver...he got under their skis to the point that they self destructed...Daniel didn't get a good shot off in the last three games three games...

Well, apparently for the first time I get to chime into this conversation - not a true fan, more fairweather than anything but I actually watched the last two Hawks games with the girls down in Ft. Myers and it was alot of fun - I had no idea hockey was so exciting....
