Ok, pool is new last summer, heater was installed in June. We’ve been running it maybe once or twice a month throughout the winter to heat up the hot tub. A few weeks ago the hot tub didn’t heat up after turning on the heater - the heater had shut itself off and given a “high limit 2 is OPEN” error. Ever since then, we can only get the heater to stay on for maybe 10 mins before getting the same error.
Filter and everything else seems normal. Any ideas what could be causing this??? I searched the forums but haven’t been able to nail down a cause. I’ve also tried 2 pool companies here, both useless so far. (One sent a tech who “cleaned it out” and said it seems fine - apparently couldn’t stick around the 10 mins to get the error code). The other just flakes and never shows up…
