As a new pool owner following advise of young kids at pool store, I’ve realized my Chlorinator and tabs are a huge mistake considering my cya was almost 200 when I got my test kit in as result of getting algae problems, etc. did a partial refill but didn’t do enough as I’m still at 120. Back at it again…..fun

Fast forward, been reading on here and now realize I need to do liquid chlorine instead. Problem is, I have a huge bucket of tabs I bought like a month ago. Try to sell online or save for vacation time or what?

Your story reads like mine...https://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/i-knew-i-was-pool-stored-when.272640/

You can keep them and put them in a floater for vacation, or when your CYA gets low (CYA does degrade about 5-15ppm per month depending on the water temperature).

In TX, I'd get a Salt Water Chlorine Generator.
