Hi! I am VERY new to this and trying to learn all I can. My free chlorine is super high at 34.5, CYA of 40. I turned my SWG off and am going to leave my pool cover open so hopefully the sun will burn it off. It's there anything else I should do? This may be a dumb question but I am brand new to this- Is it safe to swim in with a chlorine level this high or should wait until it comes down? Thanks for your help, so happy I found this group!

Nothing else to do, open the cover and let it have all the sunlight you can. It will come down. No need to test anything else while FC is that high, they will mostly all get washed out. Wait for it to come down to 10 or below before testing.
It is safe to swim in 16 FC or less, when CYA is 40. Wait for it to come down to 16 before you swim.
