First time above ground pool owner! Having issues with washout in the cove. We had one small spot and filled in the trench around the pool. Had a lot a of rain in the last few days and now have a larger spot in another area. Planning on digging the dirt back out we put in and installing a French drain. Has anyone done this? Did you have to drain the entire pool to fix the spots from washout? TIA!

Are you saying the Sand Cove inside the pool washed out from under the liner? If so to fix that you will need to empty and fix if you wanted to.. it should be fine as long as it is not a huge area and the liner is not touching the metal ring holding the wall in..

Thanks! It was washed from under the liner. We did end up draining and fixing and put a drain around the pool since our yard is sloped. Hopefully it fixed the issue.

You likely going to have some wrinkles the liner after putting it back together due to the normal expansion it suffers when you fill the pool.
If possible don’t remove return and skimmer. Also be careful when putting the liner back to avoid it shifting side ways as that could cause larger wrinkles and weaken your liner.
You should install some drainage around the pool to avoid the sand washing out again.
