The heat pump we've been using had a catastrophic failure and I had to get a new one. I've been battling torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders and just had surgery on my lift one so I can't sit out in the heat and experiment. I have contacted the people I bought the heat pump firm which is doheny's and I've also tried to contact the manufacturer of the heat pump with no luck... I cannot figure out what type of hose adapter kit/parts Will allow me to connect this new heat up to my intex system. The heat pump is a:
STRATOS 50K BTU HEAT PUMP
Sku8449

Is there anyone that might be able to offer some advice as to what I might need to get to make these compatible so that I didn't just waste $1700? always grateful for any assistance from the experts!

Show us pics of:
  • Your hoses on your Intex system you need to connect to
  • The connections that came with your Stratos HP
  • How you had your old HP connected

I will do my best to get out there for some pictures today. Between my surgery and my COPD it's a little bit of the challenge at the moment. I can say that my intex hoses are just the classic 1 1/2 inch with the Gray collars. I just slipped those over the Inlet and outlet ports on the old heat pump and used an O clamp I think it's called to tighten it down to eliminate any leaks. this new heat pump has a 2 part collar of some sort and I can't figure out anything to make them compatible but my brain has not been working well lately.... I will try to put pictures up in a little while

The 1st photo is the connection on the old heat pump. I was able To just slide the intex hoses over those connections and And clemp them in place. The next pictures are the new heat pump. It's a 2 piece collar and I took them apart so that you can see how they look from all sides hopefully. I feel like there's a simple answer but my brain just isn't finding it right now. Again I want to thank you in advance if you can offer any advice
