Most of the calculations account for how much energy is needed to get water from a start temp to an end temp, but they never really account for the constant temperature loss that happens anytime that the ambient temperature is less than the water temp. The greater this difference, the faster the loss. That loss must be overcome, IN ADDITION TO the original temperature change desired. This will affect the time needed.
