Hi everyone, I am looking for some help with my Salt pool (Intex 22'x52" round). It is GREEN. Let me explain. Pool was in good condition before we left for vacation. Came back 2 weeks later and it was green! I had the SWG run for 6hr and pump 9 every day at night. Left a solar cover on as well. When I cam back my FC=1. 2 gal. of bleach and my Salt was down to under 2000 ( like to keep it at 2800-3000). I added salt to bring it back up and not a week latter I am at 3600 (added 100lbs). I have not been home much this week but an additional 2 gal of bleach was added plus wife added two doses of HTH Ultimate to the pool. Currently pump has been running 24x7 and it is still green. Here is what I look like: FC=9.2, PH=8.2 CYA=80 TA=160 CH=180 all of which was tested via the Taylor test kit. Almost daily my wife has been vacuuming the pool and back washing it. I am using a sand filter.

I am going to be added acid now to drop the PH, but what do I do about the Green Algae? Please help.

With a pool just under 4K, you might be better off exchanging water, or at least a good majority of it leaving about 18" in it to keep the pool shell and liner stable. That would also expedite the SLAM Process. I suspect you only have a month or so left in the season, so you'll want the water clean before closing unless you completely drain it anyways. If you got the Taylor K_2006C test kit, it should have the FAS-DPD (R-0870 powder & R-0871 drops) to accurately test FC at SLAM levels.
