Our brand new deck turned out terrible, boot prints from the contractor, inconsistencies, discoloration, sharp divots, ect. I'm afraid to tear up the concrete decking since the rebar is connected to our pool and goes into the decking, plus the mess, the potential damage, ect.. Has anyone ever covered salted concrete with a cool crete or any other covering? I'm at a loss for what to do. TIA!!

His fix was an acrylic coating which turned out great for us
As a moderator, sometimes I have to enforce forum rules, or just general internet rules more commonly known as netiquette.

In this instance, I will call upon rule 32 of the interwebs. 'You must have pictures to prove your statements'. This has lovingly become better known as 'pics or it didn't happen'

Sorry traveling don't have great pictures right now but here you go. Pb was a nightmare but in comparison to some stories...maybe not that bad. They repoured our shower pad 3x before getting the shape dimensions right per plan.

Have you tried bringing these issues up to the contractor? That’s really the first place to start. Tell the builder you are unhappy with the work done and that you like a proposal for how to remediate the issues and fix them. Give the builder/contractor a chance to fix the problem.

The discolorations and footprints may lighten up with time and/or a good strong power wash. There are also surface coloring treatments than can be applied and sealed into place that might help to improve the issues you see.

I would consider an acrylic kool-kote type overlay to be a last resort.
