Hello all,

I am at a crossroads. I have not had very much support from my PB and my journey has been 90% self taught from this site and from manuals and youtube.

Can someone take a look at these pics and tell me what direction the valves need to be to make everything work properly?

Is it correct that the handle when parallel with the pipe is on, and when perpendicular is off?

Will the SWG work when the Polaris 280 vaccum is running?

The valve on the bottom right of the photo is the two skimmers, the valve to the left of that is the main drain valve (in line with the pump) the valve to the left of that is connected to the Salt cell. My pool builder dumped a bunch of salt into the pool and turned on the SWG via the iaqualink app. The valve on the far left in the photo was perpendicular to the pipe (off was at the 9 o'clock position from the photo perspective) I could not hear flow. After a day I got a message on the iaqualink app that there was a SWG general fault. I turned the valve on the far left to about the 10 o clock position from the photo perspective and I could hear water begin to flow through that pipe. Then I got a "no flow" warning message on the iaqualink app for the SWG.. So i turned the valve back to the way it was (perpendicular to the pipe).. Now I get this message:

I do not have a spa... 1 main pool pump, 1 aux pump for the jandy 280 vaccum the SWG and the filter... simple set up, but I dont know what position to move the valves to make the skimmers, main drain and Swg work properly

HELP

Thanks

That valve after the SWG is partially closed which is restricting you flow. That should have the handle 90 degrees to the pipe so it is fully open (honestly, I am not sure what the point of that valve even is ... is your equipment below the water level?)

Your suction valves are fine. Looks like the floor is partially closed to force more suction from the skimmers and the skimmer on the bottom of the picture is also partially closed to force more suction from the upper skimmer.

I am not sure what is going on with the SWG. Was the SWG off for 24 hours after adding the salt?

The handle says OFF for the direction that is ... well ... off ;)

I would suggest rotating the furtheest right valve about 90 degree CCW so that you are not restricting the middle port of the valve.

If you can't, you may need to pull the 8 screws and turn the entire assembly.

That error message is for your comms, and shouldn't be a flow issue.

Can't tell where your Aquapure control box is from that picture, but it looks like your PB has an RS485 connection from that AP control center to the RS control board for Aqualink. That is most likely the wiring that is loose or not functioning.

I would also confirm that the 3-prong black plug on top of the salt cell is firmly connected back to the Aquapure control box.

A picture of your Aquapure control box might help us to figure it out.

The wide part that says Off mirrors a gate inside the valve that moves exactly as the wide part.

For the far right valve, position the gate to the right so that it is completely out of the way of the valve ports.

To rotate to that position, loosen or remove the top thumb screw and lift the handle enough to avoid the preset stops.

You will have to lift the handle almost all of the way off to get past the stops.

Thank you this helps. I am sure my ignorance screwed up the equipment... I just hope I did not break anything.

Your signature says Jandy CV460 Cartridge Filter, but it looks like a Jandy CL460 Cartridge Filter. Can you confirm?

Is the Aquapure connected by a 4-wire communication wire to the automation?

The circuit board for the Aquapure has a red 4-wire connector that needs to connect to the 4-wire connector on the automation.

Inside the automation box, there should be a green multiplex board on the left with (4) red 4 pin connectors. One goes to the pump, one goes to the antenna, one goes to the automation board and one goes to the aquapure circuit board.
