We have had our above ground pool for YEARS. We just started it up and filtration system is fine. Pressure at 10. However, we needed to vacuum it to remove all debris and when I got to attach vacuum to skimmer area, we lose pressure to 0. Everything worked last year. We checked for clocks in the hoses for vacuum and there are no clogs. Any idea of why we are losing pressure and can't vacuum? Filtration, like I said, is strong. TIA!

Does it sound like air is getting sucked in through the pump? If you had a blockage, I would expect the pressure to increase, not decrease.
Are you filling the vac hose with water before connecting it to the skimmer plate?
Any sign of cracks in the skimmer plate or hose ends?
