So..... I sat up my 16 foot intex ultraframe pool and reconnected my intex sand filter. When it's in circulate mode it runs fine but the moment I move it to filter mode, the water starts gushing from the filter. I have spent time trying to Google reasons and have had zero success. Hoping someone can help me figure out the problem. I have attached a picture to hopefully help....I'm honestly not that knowledgeable about how it all works.

Are you sure your hose is seated correctly? Do you have a black rubber gasket on the pump fitting? It’s an L shape that fits inside the rim and covers the rim, and the hose rim should fit flush against it, then you tighten the hose nut.

also, make sure there aren’t any cracks in the hose.

It doesn't look like you have your multiport valve seated all the way down into the filter base.
loosen the collar that attaches the 2 pieces, make sure the o ring, or gasket is seated properly, then put the collar back on.

Sorry, you are right. Before I zoomed the photo it looked like all that water was coming from the hose connection!

I second this. If the top is placed on the inside pipe and then seated flush against the filter (you will likely have to work it into place), the collar will go on very easy and then tighten the bolts. IF the collar does not go in easily, the top is not seated correctly.
