Hello! I’m new to TroubleFreePool, was so glad to find you during my search for a solution to what I now think is pump housing leak (or maybe something even worse)? I can hear air leaking from the crack. I’ve turned the pump off for fear that the water might spray on the wrong wire. I’ll probably try to seal it though as a short-term fix so that I can keep the pump running. I’ve added pictures.

We moved here to Jacksonville, FL two years ago from Washington, DC with absolutely no pool experience. We’re very much learning as we go - here’s to our latest learning opportunity! Ugh.

Thank you!CEE93BE5-C187-4C10-8ABB-125ABC576D79.jpegE7EDB802-46B5-4F33-956A-0AB84B4EADDB.jpegC32AB818-ACD1-4754-9921-0840041D4648.jpeg71835AB9-0C2D-4E4A-9CF6-2597EFE746E1.jpeg535F4069-405D-4599-80B1-7E9A2CC19AF9.jpeg

Welcome to the forum!
Time for a new pump. You will not be able to repair it. Keep adding liquid chlorine to your pool each day and mix it in with a brush to maintain your FC.
If you give us more information on your pool, equipment, etc we can provide guidance on what pump to purchase.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry and consider reviewing the entire Pool School eBook.
