I've been dealing with mustard algae 4 summers now. We've tried everything! Spent probably thousands on different treatments, replaced sand and laterals, endless hours brushing, etc. I just bought PoolRx but haven't put it in yet cuz I see mixed reviews. Seems people either love it or theyre totally against it. Thoughts?

I don't think that is mustard, but either way, the first step is the same.

How are you testing your water? If you don't have one of our recommended kits, get one. Link-->Test Kits Compared

If you don't have a test kit, add 3ppm PER DAY of liquid chlorine until the test kit arrives.

If you have a recommended test kit, follow the SLAM process. Link-->SLAM Process

The reason you are getting algae is because you are not maintaining enough FC for your CYA. This explains it...Link-->FC/CYA Levels

I can guarantee we can help you clear your pool with a SLAM. I can also guarantee, if you follow the FC/CYA recommendations, you will never get algae again.

Proof is in the pudding. Link-->How Clear is TFP Clear?
