So glad I found this forum, as I'm in the market for an in ground pool. I've been dead set on doing a concrete / gunite pool, but the more I read, I'm starting to consider fiberglass more.
Here is a little about my situation, so hopefully you guys can help: (also looking for recommendation on who to work with in the NJ area. Maybe there is a sub forum I should look at too?)
Just starting to meet with contractors next week, and looking to get the build done before winter so I'll have a full season of swim next year.
Biggest question, is concrete or fiberglass? Recommendations for who to work with in NJ?
Thank you guys

- Total all-in budget with landscaping is under $50k (hopefully)
- Wife and I want something simple and about 400 sq/ft
- Like the kidney shape design for our space
- Have very flat land already with dirt/sand from living down the shore area
- Don't plan on doing much maintenance at all. I'd rather get a service contract and "just show up and swim". Don't really want to be bothered too much with it, I just want to enjoy it
- Only looking for 6ft in the deep end. No need for a slide or diving board
