Help Identifying Substance in Pool

Results are in. I have been running my pool pump between 11 AM and 4 PM each day for a couple of weeks now. The SWG is set to max output. My current water temperature is 75 F degrees. The pump had been running 2 hours when I started my testing around 1 PM.

FC : 2.2 (interesting so low given amount of salt and max output of SWG)
CC : 0
PH : 7.6
CYA : < 30 (dot never disappeared)
TA : 60
CH : 80
SC : 4200 ppm (optimum for my SWG) .. salt level for those asking

Fire away!
Your FC is so low because your CYA is low. Your SWG pushing out max chlorine, which is immediately being burned off by the sun.

Bump your CYA up to 30 and SLAM to make sure that you don't have algae. Make sure the SWG is off during the SLAM. After the SLAM, bump the CYA up to 70 and tweak your SWG to keep your FC at a steady 5 or so.

You both recommended raising CYA to 30ish .. should it not be closer to 60ish given I have a SWG ?

If you fail the OCLT, it's much easier to SLAM with a CYA of 30 than 60. That's why I recommended bringing to to 30 first, then after you confirm you do not have an algae problem you can bump it up to 70.

Quick update .. 24 hours after adding 2 lbs. of CYA ..

FC : 13.5 (even after overnight)
CYA : 60
PH : 7.8

Thinking my CYA was way below 30, if not 0, I did not think it would rise that high by adding 2 lbs. Anyway I am out of reagent R-187 to test FC with more on the way ..

Water pretty much was clear from the start...just didn't know what the dust/dirt was on the bottom. From reading other posts, I would guess it could've been mustard algea.
