Help! I need a new sand filter pump

I have an extreme power US 19 inch sand filter with a 1.5 hp motor. I need to replace my motor and what I would really like is a pump motor like was on my last sand filter which was an Intex 16 inch with a .75 motor. The reason I really want a pump motor like the last one is because it had a three-way toggle on off switch. (on/off/timed.) and it had an air release valve at the top of the strainer. I would like a pump with the increased horsepower, 1.5, but I would like it to have the features of the Intex pump motor I had. The on off switch is non-negotiable. Does anyone know who carries this. Also, any ideas or input would be welcomed. Thank you.

My 1.5hp carvin sharkjet (jacuzzi) pump has an on off switch. I don’t know of any standard pool pumps (non intex) that have a built in timer that are 1.5hp. Extreme power makes a 3/4 hp one but not sure if you can buy it separately XtremepowerUS 3,100GPH Swimming Pool 16" Sand Filter 3/4 HP Pool Pump w/ Timer 15,000GAL Above Ground Pool Set https://a.co/d/8KxCAZH

My pump is plugged into an external timer like this 👇
NSi Industries TORK RHB32R Indoor/Outdoor 15-Amp Plug-in Heavy Duty Mechanical Timer 24-Hour Programming – GREEN & RED Trippers TWO Receptacles Black Cover https://a.co/d/bf8DmRf
It works wonderfully. I can also switch the pump off with the timer if I want.
My pump basket lid doesn’t have a relief valve but it really doesn’t need one since it’s easy to fill the pump basket with water without it gushing everywhere because I put a ball valve between the skimmer & pump for control.

I have a Hayward 1hp on my Intex (would never revert back). I use Alexa and a smart switch and control the on/off schedule. Best part is if I get a call from the wife that my son's friends are coming over, I can turn the pump on from work. Or if I see the pool is cloudy via the camera, I can do the same. Other than that, as mdragger88 noted I know of no standard filter with a built-in timer. Typically, we only run the pump at night from 9pm-9am.

Absolutely freaking genius….the bal valve! Thanks, this sounds like it may work. Still need a new 1.5 hp pump but now my options are better.

Any chance you can send me a pic of the ball valve shut off set up you have? I would sure appreciate it.
