Hello All,

I have a brand new intex 12x24 that I purchased last summer on Amazon but just finally got the ground prepared and the courage to put it up.

Here's my issue: I filled the pool to about an inches below the grey liner seems last night at about 10pm. The next morning I go to check and it's now at the level of the inlets and return!

I checked the perimeter of the pool and I don't see any water.. I also have the 2 inlets plugged with the plugs that came with the pool and the return valve is turned in the off position. There is no water at these locations that I can see. The plumbing isn't hooked up yet but everything is either plugged or in a valve off position.

Any ideas what I can do? I've added pictures for a visual and I did notice one corner is out of "square" but this shouldn't be causing leaking? And I have included pictures of that as well if anyone know what I should do about squaring the one corner.

I'm on the verge of dumping this 2 year project which has been a lot of time, effort and money! I followed all suggestions above and beyond and now this, a leak! This is a brand new pool and not sure how a warranty works or what to do!!

the leak or hole is where the water stops going down.. It sure looks like the leak is at this fitting... I am not sure as I cut mine out the very first day I had it.. if you fill it an inch higher you should see where the water is coming out... :)

Okay I'll watch to see if it goes below that at all. @cowboycasey may I ask why did you cut it? If that is the leaking area (there was no water anywhere around there that I could see) I also have a Hayward eyeball I can replace it with but it fits in the same hole and doesn't need to be cut.

I think you might be right. I tightend up the eyeball and it had some more to thread. I also pushed in the elbow and I'll refill and see what happens and report back. It's about to rain so I'll let that do some of the filling for me.

Did you use silicone pool lube on your gaskets or o-rings? I also use it on threads to facilitate a tighter fit.

You should be able to see where the water dripped down side of pool and the ground would be somewhat moist where the leak occurred. You could always put another inch or two of water in, and this time carefully inspect the pool all the way around.

So yes I definitely left the hose in the pool and I also didn't have the eyeball as tight as it could go so as of now no more water loss. I'll add my skimmers and another eyeball jet tomorrow and refill and update

Just wanted to follow-up and update (and also thank everyone and this site) but the pool was not leaking and the combination of the hose being left in the pool and the return eyeball needing to be snugged up solved the issue 🤦🏿‍♂️

On another note I have installed my skimmers and noticed that there is a small leak on the outside. It's just a slow drip. Any ideas on how I can repair it? I've snugged up the screws as much as I could. I got the idea from another user here to full up the skimmer with water after attaching it but before cutting the liner square to check for leaks. And sure enough when the pool/skimmer moves the drip comes.

I put the skimmer in the grey seem area. Everything seemed to have gone well and I haven't cut the square opening yet and wanted to check for leaks first. (Got this great idea from another poster)I have the gasket on both sides and the faceplate and skimmer screwed in as tight as I could. The problem is I filled skimmer with water to check for leaks and there is a very slow drip.. is it possible to use outdoor silicone window and door caulk around the outside of the skimmer to stop the slow drip leak?

Here's a few pictures of where it's leaking. You can see where it's white from the silicone drip. I have added another layer of silicone which seems to help but it's not the solution to the problem of course. Not sure if I should just ignore it.

And this is without cutting the liner, correct? Check the screws in that area - if there is any burr or excess material that is keeping the plate and gasket from forming a good seal, that can cause drips.

Okay will do, and yes before cutting the liner. Should I back them out sone and try again?
