Help: I did something really stupid.. Heat Exchanger Plumbing

Solution: The Pump is now running and it is completely leak free. I got the new governor plug in the mail today. When I first installed I immediately noticed it was fitting a little snugger than the old one, but still no luck. I would get it almost all the way turned and then it would continue to turn towards the very end. The stripped threads in the hole were simply keeping it from tightening flush against the rim. I got to thinking that if the distance was just a little shorter to the end of the thread I would have it sealed and secure. So, I simply added added a second O-Ring from the other plug which was still like brand new. It was not easy getting it turned in all the way, but eventually It tightened up very securely and would not budge. The pump primed and after a couple of hours everything is still running and leak free. I am going to turn off for the night just to be on the safe side and I will run it all day tomorrow so I can keep an eye on it. I think I will also turn the prime speed down on my Variable Speed Pentair pump from 3250 to around 2950 just to be on the safe side. Thanks for all your input.
