I saw an tread on this topic from 2015 but need more help. After a massIve storm pump not running showing error code 64 (short circuit). External hard wire ground was off and was reconnected. Previous post from Brett indicates after drying out he had to turn fan because pump stuck in between phases throws code 64. I tried this but no luck. Please advise step by step troubleshooting to resolve code 64. Thank you!

Turn off the breaker. Spin the impeller by hand. If it turns easily, turn back on the breaker and see if it starts up. If the impeller has resistance, take apart the pump and see if there is any debris stuck in the impeller.
Did this by turning fan not taking apart to access impeller. Flows freely. Is this the same thing?
Update : opened control module found wAter and completely dried out. Same issue. I am able to get it into test mode but no functionality once in there. Also did a reset but still no functionality. Waiting on Hayward tech call tomorrow but any info helpful. In module the issue? Can the circuit board be replaced ? Is that where the issue is? Help please! Really broke - new Pump would kill me. If I have to what are best recco’s for replacement?
No I had to get a new pump. Trying to contact Hayward directly.

This is a consistent problem with any Hayward VS pump that's hooked up to their automation. Kill the breaker for 5 minutes and it resets. I love explaining this to customers on brand new installs. Hayward needs serious help in the engineering dept.
Have Hayward code 64. Tried turning breaker off waiting resetting. No Luck. Tried pushing on button on pump and then turning power on. No Luck. Turned the fan on the pump a turn manually. Turned power back on. No Luck. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Well. I dried the controller box out for 5 hours with a fan blowing into the compartment with the board in it. Spun the fan blades on motor several times turned the breaker box on. No luck. I’m lost now. Any help out there? Thanks.
