Help!! Green tinted water.

Your FC is far too low for your CYA level and has allowed algae to move in. FC of 2 is the bare minimum and if it dropped any, POW! ALGAE PARTY!
You should aim to keep your CYA higher with a SWG, and keep your FC up a few notches to allow for daily loss to the sun gods. [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA]
Brushing alone won't rid a pool of algae, you need to up your FC to kill it all the while continuing to brush daily which disrupts biofilm.

You shouldn't have too much trouble clearing that up. Go find some liquid chlorine. Walmart 10% Pool Essentials is a good plain source.

I read the SLAM and FC/CYA Chart. Just to clarify, I need to get the FC to 12. I put it in the pool calculator and it says to add 353 oz of bleach. Do I do this all at one time?

And then after testing your FC you input on the far left column of PoolMath how much you *currently* have, then in the next column over you put your *target* amount as 12ppm. Right??
I'm just checking to make sure you've got it figured out.
And yes! You add the 353 ounce of bleach *all at once* and brush it, and leave the pump running 24/7. Then you test again as soon as an hour later and repeat the process. The more often you test FC and re-dose, the faster this goes.

Thank you so much! It is already almost clear! My CYA has gone up since I added Stabilizer and I remembered to up my FC using the chart. I will continue to keep the FC up, until it passes all 3 tests.

Are your CCs 0.5 or less?
Water looks clear, check that!
OCLT- you can only lose up to 1ppm FC overnight....
THen you can put this in the bag as a successful SLAM.

You mean you tested it yesterday and your FC went *up* overnight instead of staying the same or dropping no more than 1ppm????
