Help! Fighting the rains while filling new build!

A little background-diy building our 20x40 sport pool. Smooth sailing through everything. Laid vermiculite this week. Got 2 inches of rain a few days later prior to dropping the liner. Pumped the water out. Got another inch of rain after that. Mind you, the hole without this amount of sudden rain was 100% bone dry hard clay since we dug.

We were advised to drop the liner. We did that yesterday to beat yet another round of storms overnight. We are about 2 inches into the shallow end and the liner is floating. In ANY other circumstances, this would not be an issue, but with do much rain all at once-its what we are dealing with. We have drain tile laid around the perimeter of the pool (laid above concrete collar) with a drain point leading to the back of our lot (a nice downhill slope).

My question is: as the fill water gets deeper, the liner will start to pull in, correct (after the pool water gets higher than the drain tile)? Everything is fitting very well-no wrinkles and weights on all the corners, the breaks, and the hopper. Do we keep on task with filling hoping eventually that we will win the groundwater battle? We will have a large area around the pool with a concrete deck, so a lot of future rains will be diverted away. Any advice would be appreciated!!

If the liner is fitting nice keep filling. Theoretically you want the vacuum on until you get to the returns. With rain forecasted a truck fill would have been best. The issue is the wall floor meeting point amd keeping the liner tight. If you have good drainage it will stay down. How deep is pool amd do you have main drains?

Deepest point is 6'. No main drains. Good drainage all around pool, but I think what we are fighting is the pool level isnt yet above our drain tile level. Close though.

Pardon our brown water. High iron well water, we will deal with that later. Have added chlorine. No wrinkles. Tight to side walls, corners will seat nicely and are weighted.

Also you can't see in the pic, but there is another vac going on the opposite side of the pool.

Ok. Liner still floating. Rain still falling. The liner is still fitting well, but we have SO much water in the ground and no patio poured yet, so it's coming around the pool like crazy. No cuts have been made. We have about 8800 gal in.

We've been advised to drain and try again when things dry out. The other option is to try to pump out the water behind the liner, but it might be a losing battle. Any thoughts as to what we should do?

I would not drain it until the rains stop and things dry out a bit. Is there any way you can dig a trench so water flows away from the pool area? Do you often have big rains or is this an exceptionally rainy period? If heavy rain is common in the spring you may want to look into having a wellpoint installed to help get rid of high ground water.
