Help- dont understand my numbers

Trying to turn my swamp back to my restful oasis. With all of the rain we have had this winter everything is out of wack. But my pool is a green murky swamp looking as I have never seen it. Ok I have a 14000 gal fiberglass pool. latest readings are TC-0; ph-above 8.5 a beautiful purple color; TA- 50, CYA- 45; CA- 130 I use your testing kit to test. I want to start a SLAM but I have never had my ph this high with my alkalinity at 50. I added about 27 oz of muriatic acid last night with no change in ph this am. I am heading out to get new R0014 as I am out. Dont know if my reading is because of old reagent or what. Should I just start SLAM and not worry about my ph until I get the water clearer? How do I juggle the high ph but a low TA? Should I add calcium now or wait until after SLAM? Thank you in advance for all your help.
One more thing- about 2 weeks ago I added a clarifier called Revive because I was told it really worked- did not work just made a bigger mess

Definitely confirm the pH when you get back. If it is indeed very high, you'll need to lower it to about 7.2 before starting the SLAM. Of course the problem now is the lower TA, so as you lower the pH it will drive-down the TA as well. So you'll need to compensate by raising the TA some. Baking soda is used to raise TA and can be added by spreading it across the surface of the deep end of the pool. Once the pH is closer to the orange range, raise your FC to 20 and SLAM. Don't worry about the CH right now. While it is slight low according to our recommended levels, your FB should not require much calcium anyways since there's no concrete to etch. Just focus on the FC and the SLAM once you get started. Good luck!

PS - Please try to add all of your pool info to your actual signature so that we see it at the bottom of each of your posts. Thanks!

What is your water temperature? The reason I ask is because the pH does have a tendency to increase with cold water temps but will lower back down as the water warms up.

Once you add MA to lower pH, retest in an hour after circulating. You can add more if need be. Work on pH and TA first and then you can SLAM.
