Help!! Breaker keeps tripping

The dual post breaker in the panel for my pool keeps tripping. I thought it was a bad breaker and replaced it, not the issue. There was no power going to the panel. I disconnected the wires at the pump and tried again. The panel came back on. Is this an issue with my pump? I don't think it's an electrical issue at the panel.
Help please.

Welcome to TFP! If you replaced the breaker at the panel and it only trips when you have it connected to the motor, it sounds like something is going on at the motor. Either due to age of the windings, bearings locked up, rust, etc. If you reach your hand in the pump pot (power OFF), can you turn the impeller with your fingertips? Any signs of water leakage?

Can you post some pics of the pump, the motor, and anything else that might helps us diagnosis?
