Hi! Bought a house in April with a salt water pool. Had two different companies taking care of it. I didn’t love how they were taking care of it. I’ve decided to take care of it on my own. I’ve been doing it for about a month now. I’ve been using the Taylor test kit and pool math. We’ve had a bunch of rain so things are a little diluted. Just looking for some advice on balancing. I took a sample to Leslie’s to compare with my own.

SWG with pebble sheen

Fc 4.61
Tc 4.61
Ph 8.1
Calcium 216
Cya 33
Ta 55
Salt 3100

Thanks.

Ok so I used up all my chlorine reagent from the k-2006 because my pool guy kept the chlorine super high so I bought k-1000 because I liked that I could see ph up until 8.2.

Updating because I added some acid(which I hate doing!)

So I can’t see combined ch
Chlorine 5
Ph 7.5
Calcium 230
Alk 50
Cya- does not read, even when it was around 50 at leslies
I don’t have the salt test but salt cell says 3400 so I assume it’s around 3100

Double check your steps in the test. Then add 40 and go from there. You don't want to overshoot the eventually 70 target. While you still have bery little CYA, your FC may burn off in 2 hours or less. Keep close tabs on it until the CYA buffers it.

*Leslie's advice will be that it's fine.
Calcium 230
Calcium can be raised to 400 as rain will always dilute this in FL.
Add 10 per PoolMath
