Hello everyone!
I am excited to join this group as a first time pool owner. I've ordered the TF- 2006C test kit, but meanwhile all I have is Leslie's Pool store to guide me and I can go in there every day and get drastically different results! I live in Phoenix, AZ, so I have to fight the heat and a lot of debris to keep my pool clean. I hope to learn here how to not only maintain a good chemical balance, but also to understand my pool filter/valve situation a bit better.
Cheers!

Welcome to TFP! While waiting for your kit, be sure to read/save the link and sub-articles below. They will certainly help.

Please read "The "ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry" up in Pool School as well. Post your test results as soon as your kit gets in and we'll all help!
I have read the entire forum! I've been really frustrated trying to get my chemistry correct after the pool was replastered about a month ago. The pool store is sort of helpful, but it seems like they aren't getting me anywhere. My test kit should be in at the end of the week. I can't wait!

Exactly! That is precisely why we encourage owners to test their own water. It's easy and very reliable. As you review the links we provide, you'll see this all come together and wonder why you ever took a sample to the store to begin with. I know I did at one time.
