Newish pool owner. The home we bought had an old 1970's gunite pool, approx 30,000 gallons—two skimmers with the main drain connected to the skimmer and two returns.
The plaster was chipping away, and the previous owner had poorly painted the pool. The tile and coping were also in terrible shape. I disconnected the lights out of safety concerns.
TFP helped me learn about maintaining a pool when I first started about 6 yrs ago. This winter, we renovated the pool and now have:

We will be replastering the pool in about a month with Diamond Brite.
I am looking to learn about the mottling of pool plaster and any suggestions on preventing mottling. Or colors that are least likely to show the mottling.
