Upon my mother's passing, my wife and I inherited a home with a pool. For years she had a pool service take care of it and, while I never thought they were competent -- or fair -- we decided to keep them on while we were tied up with our other house. With the assignment of a new tech/operator, it seemed the quality diminished, evidenced by the appearance of a green pool one Sunday morning.
In the end, it turned out to be a bad connection to a new Jandy SWCG. The service cleared up the green-ness within a day or so, but I've decided to learn as much as I can about pools and, hopefully, take care of it myself.
That's what lead me here. So far, I've found the site very helpful. I don't know much about pools in general, or even this pool specifically, but I'm eager to learn!
