New pool owner here. I think I have everything down with the pool chemicals but the equipment setup is still confusing. If anyone can explain how these Jandy valves work that would be great! They turn both to the left and to the right…

The gate is located opposite the handle. The red is the gate. So the left one is closing off the pipe coming to/from the right. The other two are wide open, as the gates are on the top allowing flow through all three connections.

Okay, thanks! That makes sense. So is there a reason to turn them to the right/left?

Can you post a wider shot. Post a picture from the top down. I can't tell what is connected to the right and to the left.

What is written on the far left and far right pipes coming out of the ground?

Can you get a better picture of this loop? Can't see what is back there...
