Hello from another Chicagoan!

We just bought a new house with a pool. I have zero pool experience. The house was a foreclosure / renovation and the sellers did a lot of cosmetic work on the pool. The mechanical side, unfortunately, needs some work. I've been lurking TFP and gotten lots of great info. I'm filling the pool this week and I'll post numbers as soon as I can. I've installed a new pump and the heater is coming at the end of the month. Fingers crossed that everything goes well!

If you would like to start a thread about your equipment someone might be able to help you out. Make sure to include pics.
