I found this forum through google search. I'm a pool owner for 23 years and this is actually my first time joining a forum that is dedicated to pool owners. I have recently started DIY projects for my pool for the last 2-3 years, went from cartridge to DE filter and also upgraded my old pump to a new whisperflo. I'm beginning to get comfortable with pool plumbing and I'm planning on my next step to add a solar pool heater system. I was actually trying to post a thread but I could not find a correct topic to add Solar Pool heating. I live in southern california. Solar heating has been on my wish list for almost 10 years now and it is probably about time to execute on this project. I'm looking forward for knowledge from members that have done it in this group.
I have a strange pool shape, perhaps the closest I can reference it to is a kidney shape. I've use multiple calculators online and I get different results. Some time it says my pool size is 22k, but sometimes it shows 15k?
I'm planning to put my solar panels in the pool house which is approximately 12x44 feet of area.
