My solar heat system is a Heliomatic HM4000D and the "AUTO" mode stopped working.
Manual works fine.
Both sensor and connector fault lights were on...and the system is 7 years old...so I decided to replace the sensors.
The wires were very brittle, so I re-wired as well....but no change.
Thats when I noticed the controller showed no power light (Should have seen that earlier...I know).
The unit is certainly getting power...and both fuses are good. Manual mode does activate the valves...so power is moving through the controller....in some areas for sure.
I could not do the controller test as outlined in the installation manual...because "Power On" led and possibly the "Flow Thru Collectors" led seem inoperable.
Do I need a new controller?
Any clues where to go next on this?
