Heater isn't heating

Hey everyone, this will be my second year running our 2nd hand Jandy Lite 2. The first year gave us no issues but this year, it doesn't seem to be keeping the water warm like it did last year. It'll run all day and water temp will only be 75.

My first thought was scaled up heat exchanger and possibly dirty fins. I removed the hood and found a bunch of metal bars laying criss-cross over the coils. I can't see them in the parts breakdown for this unit not sure where they belong. Any help on how to put these back together or what they are for?

This should be the manual for your heater https://www.mypool.com/Help-Files/Jandy-LG-Heaters.pdf Those look like heat exchanger baffles which are listed on page 35 of the manual and displayed on page 87 as (#84). You should notice that the longer part of the width is curved to fit around the curved heat exchanger fins. These are used to disrupt the flow of combustion byproducts and keep the heat in contact with the fins for a longer time period thus improving the efficiency. You should have a total of 8 of these. I also note that you seem to be missing the 2 baffle retainers (#85) also listed and shown on the same pages. Without the baffle retainers, if the heater was turned on its side the baffles might fall out and end up sitting on top of the heat exchanger. You should put the baffles back in place (carefully so as not to damage the heat exchanger fins) and replace the baffle retainers if you cannot find them. I am not sure about the condition of the rest of the heater, so am not able to comment further regarding the full condition of the heater.

Thanks so much for the info! I'll get those put back in today.
Any ideas on the best place to get gaskets so I can pull the header off and inspect the tube's?
