Good Evening all,

I have a Aqua Turbo inverter heat pump that seems to have some issues. (Fairland InverX Heat Pump - 27.5kw with Turbo Boost to 32kw - 1 Phase)

Whenever it goes into "auto defrost" mode, We get an Error E1 after a minute or two, This error code looking in the manual means "Refrigerant Pressure too high" but after a few minutes the unit starts itself back off again and appears to work well.

Anyone had this issue before? Is it normal? Does anyone know any South Coast UK heat-pump specialists, or your normal AC guy is ok?

Thanks in advance.

You really need a service tech who is very familiar with heat pumps. It is possible that the reversing valve is sticking partway between open and closed due poor installation practices and then completing its open/closed position correctly.
I thought so, the fact it functions fine after was a little confusing,

It also seems to enter defrost mode with literally no ice buildup at all. what dictates if it enters defrost mode does anyone know?

I think it is a timer cycle and goes into defrost whether it needs it or not.

Good idea... looked at your user guide and it doesn't really give any technical information.
Yes I was also disappointed at the lack of information on certain error codes within the manual.

this unit has only been pumping for 4 weeks too from new ! at over 5k id of hoped for a little longer than that.

Should still be under warranty for both parts and labor then. Just make sure that the heater is running 100% before the one year covered labor expires.
Errr , yeah that’s the issue, it sat in its box without use at all for around a year… so it’s now 1 year 2 months old.

Literally plugged it in for the first time a few weeks ago. :(
