Ugghh .... capacitor decided to fail right when the coldest night time temperature since last spring. I got the solar cover back on the pool until this gets fixed.

Nope. That's why I know it was the capacitor. My pool company technician diagnosed the problem. He will be back next week to replace it. I do a lot of stuff myself but I avoid electrical stuff.
The capacitor on the heat pump has been replaced. The heat pump is again working. Now that it is working, Mother Nature has decided to return the daytime temperatures into the low 90F and night time in the 70F range. While the heat pump was out of commission, the daytime temperatures was in the high 70F with night time in the 50F range. Typical - runs when you don't need it.
