Heat Pool with AC Condenser

They have been discussed a few times. They are expensive and hard to install and implement. They do work but are rarely enough on their own. Not really a mainstream product.

Also a bit counterintuitive as the best heating will occur when the A/C is in highest demand, that is, when the outside temperature goes up, the heating capacity increases. But who heats a pool when it's hot outside? Our pool heat requirements are mainly for May and September/October, not really A/C months.

I have one and love it. It is a competitor to solar. As CJ points out, they are more expensive than solar, and getting an AC guy to do the AC part is tough. Everything else about the install is simple. The benefits are simple maintenance, discrete install, makes your AC quiet, and works with basically any pool pump. Here's a small album of my install.
