I have no apparent leaks on the suction side of pump as I see no air bubbles in basket. But in my hayward extreme 150 the filter housing keeps filliing with air after running for a little while. Any idea how to fix this?

Can you provide us more information on your pool and equipment? Filling out your signature really helps.
You must be getting air in the system on the suction side somehow. Check the pump basket lid, drains, skimmer weir door, etc.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
